Ms. Helen Andrews, age 71, was one of nine children born to the late Mr. Lewis and Mrs. Mary Tyus Andrews of Jackson, GA. Helen was born on the sunrise of October 29, 1942 and departed this blessed life upon the sunset of January 16, 2014
Helen joined Towaliga County Line Baptist Church at an early age; she was a faithful and committed servant. She remained an active and loyal member until her transition from her earthly life to live eternally with her heavenly father. She was an active member of both the mother board and the choir “The Voices of Towaliga”. Helen was a faithful and dedicated employee at American Mills for over 30 years.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Mr. Lewis and Mrs. Mary Andrews; four brothers, Mr. Jimmy Tyus, Mr. Bennie Andrews, Mr. Lewis Andrews, Jr. and Mr. Henry Lee Andrews; three sisters-in-law, Mrs. Addie Mae Andrews, Mrs. Gaynell Andrews, and Mrs. Sylvia Andrews; one brother-in-law: Mr. Jessie Tuggle.
She leaves to cherish her life and mourn her passing three sisters, Mrs. Ada Tuggle, Ms. Emmagene Scott, and Mrs. Celestine Tuggle (Lee); one brother, Mr. Eugene Andrews (Debbie); two sisters-in-law, Mrs. Annie Ruth Tyus and Mrs. Lillian Andrews; one brother-in-law, Edward Scott; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
Funeral services for Mrs. Helen Andrews will be conducted Tuesday, January 21, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at the Towaliga County Line Baptist Church in Jackson, Ga. Reverend Eddie Collier will officiate. Interment will follow in Griffin Memorial Gardens. Friends may visit the family on Monday, January 20, 2014 from 6pm. until 8p.m. at the funeral home.
