Ms. Helen McKenney Tanner, age 81 of Woodbine, Ga., passed away on the morning of Monday, November 15th, 2021 at Hospice of the Golden Isles in Brunswick, Ga.
Ms. Tanner was born July 17th, 1940 in Woodbine, Ga. to the late Herbert and Mildred McKenney.
Helen was a member of the Woodbine church of God. She spent most of her life as a full-time homemaker raising her six children. She loved her dogs, was an avid rock collector, and enjoyed antique shopping.
Ms. Tanner is survived by her daughter, Carol (Vearl) Bailey of Woodbine, Ga.; her sons, Norman (Kathy) Tanner of Clinton, Tn., David (Pamela) Tanner of Hortense, Ga., Brian (Kelly) Tanner of Brunswick, Ga., and Shannon Tanner of Jesup, Ga.; her brother, Herbert (Cheri) McKenney, Jr. of Jupiter, Fl.; and numerous grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A Graveside Service will be held at 11 am Thursday, November 18th, 2021 in Colesburg Cemetery in Woodbine, Ga. with Pastor Chris Ogden presiding.
