Henry Humphrey

Mr. Henry Lewis Humphrey “Hard Rock” was born August 23, 1951 in Luella, GA to the late Mr. James Humphrey Sr. and Mrs. Jessie Ruth Humphrey Owens.

On Thursday, March 24, 2016 the heavenly roll was called and he answered, “Give me rest.” Henry Lewis Humphrey is preceded in death by one sister, Ethel Kate Humphrey. Henry Humphrey became a member of Hosanna Methodist Church at an early age. He graduated from Griffin High School and was employed with Lowell Bleachery for 41 years.

He leaves to cherish his precious memories a devoted wife, Mrs. Shirley A. Humphrey; a dear devoted
father-in-law, Mr. Otis F. Smith; five children, Rodney Smith, Marcus Smith, Timothy Humphrey, Reginald Smith and Tashia Humphrey; seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; four siblings, Annie R. Oson, James (Gloria), Annete (Larry) and Rachel (Antwan); four sisters-in-law, Mildred (Linell), Rosa (Calvin), Ernestine (Tony) and Bernice (Reggie); four brothers-in-law, Otis Jr., Danny (Annette), Dennis (Brenda) and James (Gloria); as well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles and friends. He will surely be missed!
