Hilda Jordan-Cortes

Ms. Hilda Jordan-Cortes, age 81 of St. Marys, passed away on the evening of Tuesday, February 14, 2023 at Southeast Georgia Health System.
Ms. Cortes was born on July 25, 1941 in Aguadilla, Puerto Rico to the late Tomas Jordan Rodriguez, Sr. and Christina Cortes Hernandez.
Hilda has been a resident of St. Marys, Georgia since 1993. She was a seamstress and worked at the Navy Exchange uniform shop. She loved playing Bingo and spending time with her beloved family. Mrs. Jordan Cortes was a member of Centro Cristiano Renacer and the St. Marys Senior Center. Anyone who knew Hilda will remember her kindness, willingness to help others and beautiful heart.
Ms. Cortes is survived by her children, Ivette Vera (Luis Lugo) of Kingsland, Ga., Jannette Vera of St. Marys, Ga., Maribel (Jose) Fantauzzi and Sixto (Garidad) Vera, all of Jacksonville, Fl.; her brother, Wilfredo (Maribel) Jordan of Rincon, Puerto Rico.; her grandchildren, Jonathan Morales, Christian Arce, Luis Lugo, Luis Arce, Ivelisse Simmermon, Christine Fantauzzi, Michael Arce, Joseph Vera, and Jovanny Vera; and her great grandchildren, Carlos Arce, Jr., Aaliyah Arce, Aiden Middleton, Blaine Arce, Haylie Arce, Jordan Arce, Mia Simmermon, Valentina Morales, Blaine Arce, Michael Arce, Ryan Simmermon, Daniel Morales, and Lucas Hanson.
Besides her parents, Ms. Cortes was preceded in passing by her husband, Juan Ramos Rodriguez and grandson, Carlos Arce.
A visitation will be held from 11 am to 1 pm Saturday, February 18, 2023 at Coastal Camden Funeral Home in Kingsland, Ga. A Graveside Service will follow at 1:30 pm in Lawnwood Cemetery in Kingsland, Ga with Pastor Julio Alvarez presiding. Pallbearers will be Sixto Vera, Luis Lugo-Pagan, Jose Fantauzzi, Joseph Vera, Jovanny Vera, and Gerardo Jordan. Honorary pallbearers will be Jonathan Morales, Joel Arce, Luis Lugo, Michael Arce, Luis Arce, and Sixto Vera.
