Jack Talley

Mr. Jack S. Talley, age 82, of Griffin, GA passed away on Wednesday, January 8, 2014 at Spalding Regional Hospital.

Mr. Talley was born on January 25, 1931 in McDonough, GA to the late Duncan Elijah Talley and the late Eva Stephens Talley. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Katie Marshall Puerfoy Talley and brother, James G. Talley. Mr. Talley retired at the rank of SSgt. from the US Air Force and was a graduate of the US Naval Justice School. He also served as Staff Judge Advocate in Newport, RI. A resident of Griffin for over 40 years, Mr. Talley had many friends along Taylor Street, especially at Maxi-Lube. He was a member of Faith Baptist Church.

Survivors include his sister and brother-in-law, Joyce Talley Lee and husband, Douglas Lee; nieces, Deborah Lynn, Wanda Gail Talley, Joy Lynn Lee Bethea and husband John Charles, Kelly Lee Ferguson; nephew, Greg Talley; many great nieces and nephews.

Graveside funeral services for Mr. Jack Talley will be conducted on Friday, January 10, 2014 at 1:00 pm at Flippen Methodist Church in McDonough, GA. Dr. Tracy Brinson will officiate.
