“Uncle Jesse” James Willis Allen age 86 of Griffin, GA passed away Saturday, September 29, 2012 at Brightmoor Hospice.
Mr. Allen was born in Tift County, GA on February 18, 1926 to the late William Allen and the late Jewell Braswell Allen. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Thomas Allen and sister, Ruby Smith. Mr. Allen was a Veteran of the United States Army and served during World War II. He was a truck driver for Pomona Products for 44 years.
Survivors include his sister, Mary Farlow of Jesup, GA; niece and her husband, Ellen and Charles Evans of Jesup, GA; nephew and his wife, Junior and Mary Farlow of Griffin; great nephews and great nieces; Brian and Jaime Smith, Jeff Smith, Christy and Allen Harris, Tammy and Randy Hutcheson and Brandy Farlow; great- great nieces and nephews,Lorelai Smith, Hannah Smith, Tanner Harris, Colby Harris, Zachary and John Charles Hutcheson.
Graveside funeral services for Mr. Jesse Allen will be conducted Sunday, September 30, 2012 at 3:00 p.m. in County Line Christian Church Cemetery at Digby. Friends may visit the family from 1:00 p.m. until 2:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
