Mr. James Roland Calhoun, age 66, of Griffin, GA passed away Thursday, December 24, 2015 at Renaissance Care and Rehab.
Mr Calhoun was born in Jackson, GA on January 12, 1949 to the late J T Calhoun and the late Susie Mae Crowder Calhoun. He was also preceded in death by his brother Harvey Calhoun.
He graduated from Griffin Tech. After that he joined the United States Army where he became an Army Veteran. After his retirement from the military, he was employed by Atlas Roofing Company in Hampton, GA. He retired in 2011.
He is survived by his wife Patricia Calhoun; two daughters and sons-in-law, Pamela and Godfrey Harper and Tina and Fred Perkins of Griffin, GA; mother, Susie Mae Calhoun; one brother and sister-in-law Mr. Tom (Laura) Calhoun of Decatur, GA; one uncle Bubba Crowder of Jackson, GA; five grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.
A funeral service for Mr. James Roland Calhoun will be held on Thursday, December 31, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. at the Chapel of Heritage Funeral Home. Pastor Robby Milner will offer the eulogy. Interment will follow in Griffin Memorial Gardens. Mr. Calhoun will be available for viewing on Wednesday, December 30, 2015 from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm at the funeral home.
