James Flaherty

July 21, 1963 — July 26, 2022

Mr. James Alfred Flaherty, age 59, passed away on the afternoon of Tuesday, July 26th, 2022 at his home in St. Mary's, Ga.

Mr. Flaherty was born on July 21st, 1963 in Grove City, Pa. to the late James and Kathryn Flaherty, Sr.
Jim Flaherty was a wonderful husband, father, brother, friend, and so much more. He was a patient and loving person. For example, he decided to fall in love with a readymade family that had many broken pieces. He took the time with his new family to rebuild the trust that he knew was lacking, the faith he knew had been lost, and gave unconditional love. In the eyes of the people who loved Jim, he will always be their hero.

Jim was a strong man not necessarily in a muscular sense but strong in the ability to pick up his family and friends when they felt as though they were falling short in life or had lost hope within themselves. He was strong enough to love the broken hearted, help them to mend, and always model and remind them of the plan that God has for their life.

Jim proudly served in the Navy, and he was part of the Desert Storm war. He always spoke about how his military career helped him to grow into the man he was today.

Jim will always be loved and missed by many, but he will never be forgotten.

Mr. Flaherty is survived by his wife, Lois Flaherty of St. Mary's, Ga.; his daughter, Christian Flaherty of Kingsland, Ga.; and his son, Justin Flaherty of St. Mary's, Ga.

Besides his parents, Mr. Flaherty was preceded in passing by his son, Justin Tomlinson.

A private burial will be held by the family in Brazell Peeples Cemetery in Kingsland, Ga.
