Mr. James Dorsey Stephens, Jr.
September 2, 1944 – November 24, 2015

Mr. James Dorsey Stephens, Jr., age 71, of Milner, GA passed away Tuesday, November 24, 2015 at Spalding Regional Hospital.

Mr. Dorsey was born in Jackson, GA to the late James Dorsey Stephens, Sr. and Bernice Vaughn Stephens. He served in the U S Air Force and worked at J C Penney for 37 years.

Mr. Stephens is survived by his wife of over 37 years, Mary Stephens; ; sons and daughter-in-law, James W. “Jamie” Stephens and Peter Todd and Laura Stephens; sister Margaret Barnes of Jackson; grandchildren, Kaden James Stephens, Dawson Stephens and Rachael Stephens; cousin and his wife Billy and Betty Carver; and several nieces and nephews.

A memorial service for Mr. James Dorsey Stephens, Jr. will be conducted on Saturday, November 28, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Heritage Funeral Home. Reverend Jeff Yearwood will officiate. Friends may visit the family on Saturday one hour prior to the service.
