James Tyson

Mr. James Raye Tyson, age 70 of Woodbine, Ga., passed away on the afternoon of Tuesday, October 1 st , 2019 at UF Health in Jacksonville, Fl.



Mr. Tyson was born on June 11 th , 1949 in
Atmore, Al. to the late Thomas and Francis Tyson.



Mr. Tyson was a resident of Camden County for over
30 years. He worked for 17 of those years at Gilman Paper Company. After he
retired, he enjoyed spending his time in the garden, and out fishing and
shrimping. Mr. Tyson was an active member of the local VFW and of the Fraternal
Order of the Eagles in St. Marys.



Mr. Tyson is survived by his wife, Luciona Tyson of
Deland, Florida; his son, James Shelton Tyson, of Alabama; his sister, Dottie
Ann Davis of Florida; his brother, Robert Tyson of Alabama; and his grandchildren,
Caleb Tyson and Grace Tyson of Alabama.



In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to the local VFW in Kingsland at 912-729-7933, the Order of the Eagles in St. Marys at 912-882-5335, or Bachlott Cemetery, contact Demarus Johns 912-496-7961, in Mr. Tyson’s name.



A graveside service for Mr. Tyson will be held at 11
am on Friday, October 4 th , 2019 at Bachlott Cemetery in Nahunta, Ga.
