Mr. James Cannie “J.C” Outlaw, III, age 66, passed away on the afternoon of Monday, October 31st, 2022 at his home in St. Marys, Ga.
Mr. Outlaw was born on September 10th, 1956 in Jacksonville, Fl. to the late James Jr. and Ethel Mae Outlaw.
J.C was known as “the Voice of the Cats” to Wildcat sports. He broadcasted his first game in 1982 and continued for 37 years. Aside from football, he also had the opportunity to broadcast Wildcat baseball games.
J.C. loved all sports and spent time as a referee and umpire for youth sports. If he was not busy with the above you could find him at home watching sports on tv and commentating the game in his own way.
J.C. was a member of Westside Baptist Church. He was a loving and caring man who never met a stranger. He loved spending time with his wife, children, and grandchildren.
Mr. Outlaw is survived by his wife, Debbie Outlaw of St. Marys, Ga.; his children, Heather (Darrell) Vanzant of White Oak, Ga. and James (Ami) Outlaw of Jacksonville, Fl.; his sisters, Sharon (Thomas) Woods and Sheila (Henry) Buchanan; his grandchildren, Hayden Outlaw, Brooke Vanzant, Camden Outlaw, Hunter Vanzant, and Melodi Outlaw; along with several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
