Jean Mary Cook , 86, of Kingsland, GA, formerly of Bristol, widow of William T. Cook, died on Friday (March 2, 2012) at home.
Jean was born on April 9, 1925 in Bristol and was a daughter of the late William and Genevieve (Smatt) Christian. She was a longtime Bristol resident where she worked at Superior Electric before retiring and moving to be near her daughter in Georgia 13 years ago.
Jean leaves her daughter and son in law, Lynn and Randal Stark of Kingsland, GA; her sister, Marguerite Leonard of Bristol; her grandson, William R. Stark; and three nieces and three great nieces. She loved to travel and leaves behind many friends.
A graveside service will be held on Thursday (March 8, 2012) at 11 AM at St. Joseph Cemetery, 522 Terryville Ave., Bristol. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Hospice of the Golden Isles, 1692 Glynco Parkway, Brunswick, GA, 31525.
