Mrs. Jeanette Taylor, age 60, of Griffin, passed away on Monday, February 29, 2016 at Sacred Journey Hospice in McDonough.

Mrs. Jeanette Taylor was born on November 17, 1955 to the late Ms. Martha Williams and the late Mr. Tommie Joe Jester, Sr. She was preceded in death by her husband, Mr. David Taylor; and siblings, Mr. Albert Chambliss, Jr., Mr. Ricky Chambliss, and Mrs. Shirley Williams.

She was a faithful member of the Eighth Street Baptist Church until her health declined.

Sister Jeanette raised three wonderful children: Javorah Thompson (Dave), Marcus Taylor, and Markeyda Taylor. She also leaves a step-daughter, Davette Taylor; and special daughter, Shunda Jones; siblings, Jean Shannon, Tommy Joe Jester, Jr., Sammy Williams (Renee), Malisia Puckett (Anthony Sr.), and Setina Swanson; grand-children, Jahmad Clemons, Jahmiya Clemons, Jerald Clemons, Jr., Xavier Thompson, Markell Taylor and Janiya Taylor; great granddaughter, Jai’cee Clemons; aunts and uncles, Lillie Walker, Mary Davis and Elnora Lyons; in-laws, Lillian Orr (Calvin), Elaine Taylor, George Taylor, Sammy Taylor, Athena Taylor and Eddie Williams; special friend, LaTessa Spear (Neal); and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins

Funeral services for Mrs. Jeanette Taylor will be held on Saturday, March 5, 2016, at 1:00 p.m. at Eighth Street Baptist Church. Interment will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family Friday night from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
