Mr. Jerry W. “Bubba” Smith, age 38, of Griffin, passed away on Tuesday, August 8, 2017, at Piedmont Hospital in Atlanta.
Mr. Smith was born on October 17, 1978 in Thomaston, GA. He enjoyed traveling to the mountains, the beach, and listening to music. He had a big heart and loved spending time with his family and friends. He was preceded in death by his father Jerry W. Smith, Sr.
Mr. Smith is survived by his mother and step-father Geraldine and John Grant; sisters Connie Spoon and her husband Jeffrey Chappell, and Brenda Smith; special cousins Wanda and Mike Smith; and nephews William Glen Spoon and Jonathon Taylor Spoon.
Funeral services for Mr. Jerry W. ”Bubba” Smith, Jr. will be held on Friday, August 11, 2017 at 3:00 p.m. in the chapel of Heritage Funeral Home. Pastor Aaron Watson will officiate. Interment will follow in Teamon Baptist Church Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family Thursday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
