Mr. Jesse “PieMan” Bowman, age 78, of Griffin, GA passed away on Friday, October 28, 2016 at Brightmoor Hospice.
Mr. Bowman was born on August 20, 1938, in Griffin, GA to the late Nick Bowman and the late Ruby Lee Bowman. He was also preceded in death by his first wife, Lizetta Bowman; daughter, Rosetta Holland; son, Willie Fambro; and sister, Daisy McDonald. He was a member of Bethel Baptist Church in Albion, Michigan, where he sang in the Male Chorus and served as usher. He loved country and western music, and boxing. He was a Mason for over 50 years, serving as a member of the Twilight Lodge, St. Mark Lodge, Starlight Lodge and Roy E. Gun 168 Lodge.
Mr. Bowman leaves to cherish his memories his wife, Paralee Bowman of Albion, Michigan; children, Wade and Catrina Bowman of Dayton, OH, Preston Bowman of Griffin, Pastor Samuel and Kathleen Fambro of Dayton, Ohio, Robert and Loretta Fambro, Mike and Marshell Fambro, and Randy Fambro, all of Dayton, OH, Roxie Fambro of North Pole, Alaska, Edward and Gracious Reese of Hampton, VA, and Kevin Reese of Albion, MI; daughter-in-law, Sarah Fambro of Griffin; two aunts, Lottie Mae Fuller, and Myrtle Lee Etheridge; special friend, the late Wylene Favors and her family, Carsandra (Sarge) Favors, Teresa Curtis, Diane Stroud, Bruce Favors, Deprecious Favors and the late Gaynelle Andrews, all of Griffin; and many other family members and friends.
Funeral services for Mr. Jesse “PieMan” Bowman will be held on Saturday, November 5, 2016 at 12:00 noon at the Chapel of Heritage Funeral Home. Pastor Ernest Weaver will offer the Eulogy. Interment will follow in Westwood Gardens. Friends may visit the family Friday evening from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
