Jewel Fambro

Jewel Dixon Fambro was born on May 18, 1937 to the late Lillian Harps Dixon in Birmingham, Alabama. On Tuesday, December 4, 2012 an angel descended from Heaven to call Jewel Fambro to eternal rest in the arms of her almighty Father.
Jewel loved helping people and people loved Jewel. She was always there to lend a helping hand. She took great pride in her family and church family. At a young age, she accepted Christ as her personal Savior and Lord and joined Macedonia Baptist Church. She sang in the choir and was a member of the Mother Board. Jewel received her education through the Spalding County School System. She enjoyed going to the Senior Center, traveling, fishing, bingo and other fun activities.
She leaves to mourn with loving and cherished memories: one daughter Christine Trice and Larry Johnson; one son Ernest Dixon and a very special friend Ann L Champion.
A Celebration of Life service for Jewel Fambro will be conducted on Saturday, December 8, 2012 at 1:00 P.M. at Macedonia Baptist Church in Griffin, GA. Reverend Gregory Tyler will officiate. Interment will follow in Griffin Memorial Gardens.
