Jimmy Horne

Mr. Jimmy Edward Horne, age 81 of Kingsland, Ga., passed away on the afternoon of Sunday, December 24th, 2023 at Southeast Georgia Health System in Brunswick, Ga.

Mr. Horne was born on July 31st, 1942 in Kingsland, Ga. to the late Isadore and Mary Horne.

Jimmy was a lifelong resident of Kingsland, Ga. He worked at Gilman Paper Company for over 45 years. He loved the river, the woods and a green garden, all that nature had to offer.

Mr. Horne is survived by his wife, Martha Horne of Kingsland, Ga.; his children, Greg Horne, Elizabeth (Mike) Place, James Horne, and Paul Horne, all of Kingsland, Ga., Alethea (Scott) Walker of Alma, Ga., and Cristie (Eddie) Mathis of Alamo, Ga.; his loving sisters, Mary (WC) Sanderson, Peggy Kaufman, Bertha Johnson, and Janell Brannon; his grandchildren, Devan Williamson, Morgan Loomis, Aubrey Horne, Maisy Taylor, Jaden Horne, Chelsie Gruber, Annabell Horne, Abigail Horne, and Hadley Mathis; his eight great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held from 11 am to 1 pm Friday, December 29th, 2023 at Coastal Camden Funeral Home in Kingsland, Ga. A Graveside Service will begin at 2 pm Friday, December 29th, 2023 at Temple Creek Cemetery in Kingsland, Ga.
