Jimmy Mckee

Mr. Jimmy Newton McKee, age 78 of Griffin, passed away Thursday September 5, 2013 at Spalding Regional Hospital.
Mr. McKee was born on September 23, 1934 in Frankston, Texas to the late William Claire McKee and the late Lillah Eudell Rogers McKee. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Billy Rogers McKee and brothers-in-law, George Tipton and J.P. Binion. Mr. McKee was a Veteran of the United States Army and worked for many years as an electronic technician for the Federal Aviation Administration. Mr. Jimmy was a member of Union Baptist Church and a faithful supporter of the Karios Prison Ministry.
Survivors include his wife of 53 years, Patricia McDaniel McKee; sons and daughters-in-law, James and Kimberly McKee of Lawrenceville, GA, Dan and Susan McKee of Woodstock, GA; daughter and son-in-law, Melinda and Ken Cronin of Griffin; 19 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; sisters, Claire Compton and Davie Nell Binion of Weatherford, Texas, Lella May Tipton od Frankston, Texas; several nieces and nephews.
Memorial services for Mr. Jimmy McKee will conducted on Thursday September 12, 2013 at 2:00 pm in the chapel of Heritage Funeral Home. Pastor Tim Conort will officiate. Friends may visit the family from 1:00 pm until the service hour at the funeral home.
