Mr. Jimmy Smith, age 70, of Griffin, GA passed away on Saturday, December 27, 2014 at Reliance Healthcare in Griffin, GA.
Mr. Smith was born in Griffin, GA on March 18, 1944, to the late Charlie Smith and the late Mary Smith. He was also preceded in death by his son, John Rape; and sisters, Betty Jean Morgan, Gloria McGahee, and Annie Ruth Lewis. Jimmy was an avid outdoorsman who loved hunting and fishing. He held the office of president of Quail unlimited for 12 years. He was also a very well accomplished musician.
Survivors include his wife, Linda Smith; son and daughter-in-law, Frankie Smith and Carol Cabral; daughter and son-in-law, Alisa and Norman Middlebrooks; son and daughter-in-law, Bill and Lisa Mathews; sisters and brother-in-law, Hazel and Danny Conkle, Frances Eppinger, Katherine Grant; and grandchildren, Marley Pace, Zoe Smith, Lora Alysa Rape, Baleigh Grace Rape, Kyle Phillips, Haylee Phillips, Melissa Mathews; and great-grandson, Cameron Horne.
