John Allen

Mr. John Joseph Allen, Sr., age 65, passed away in the early morning hours of Monday, August 12th, 2024 at his home in Kingsland, Ga.

Mr. Allen was born on January 30th, 1959 in Baltimore, Md. to the late William and Rosa Allen.

Mr. Allen was a hard worker and would help anyone in need. He was a good man, loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He will be missed greatly by all who knew and loved him.

Mr. Allen is survived by his wife, Julianne McClain Allen of Kingsland, Ga.; his daughters, Melissa (Chris) Lance of Gloucester, Va., and Kristy Allen of Kingsland, Ga.; his son, John Allen, Jr. of Kingsland, Ga.; his sister, Lori (Roy) Hay; his brothers, William Allen, Jr., Thomas (Anita) Allen, and Robert Allen; his grandchildren, Claudia, Haley, Marcelo, Addison, Colton, Justin, Makayla, Hannah, Autumn, Alyssa, and Conner; and his 9 great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at 3 pm Saturday, August 17th, 2024 in the Woods-Wainwright Chapel of Coastal Camden Funeral Home. Military honors will be rendered.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made in Mr. Allen’s name to the National Kidney Foundation.
