Mr. John T. Brooks, age 80, of Griffin, GA passed away Saturday, January 2, 2016 at home surrounded by his family.
Mr. Brooks was born in Harris County, GA on September 2, 1935. Mr. Brooks served his country in the US Navy and was also a deacon for Calvary Assembly of God. He was preceded in death by his mother, Lizzie Mae Brooks.
Mr. Brooks is survived by his wife, Mary Brooks; daughter and son-in-law, Lisa and Randy Stewart; sons, Joel Brooks, Mark Brooks and Scott Brooks; grandchildren, Joseph Brooks, John Luke Brooks, Brittany Stokes, Brianna Stokes, Landon Brooks and Caleb Brooks.
Funeral service for Mr. John T. Brooks will be conducted on Tuesday, January 5, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel of Heritage Funeral Home. Reverend Ken Vanderford will officiate. Friends may visit the family on Monday evening from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
