Mr. John Patrick DeCoste, age 60 of Hortense, GA., passed away on March 20, 2024, in Brunswick, GA.
John was born on January 7 th , 1964 in Derry, NH., to Lorraine Howarth and the late Robert DeCoste, Sr.
A loving husband, father, grandfather and brother, John was not only passionate about his family, but also his hot tub, his home state of New Hampshire and his truck. John served proudly in the US Navy as a machinist’s mate, providing the “blanket of democracy that you sleep under.” He appreciated the simple things in life, and his presence will be deeply missed, but forever felt.
John is survived by his wife, Susan DeCoste of Hortense, GA.; his daughters, Alicia DeCoste of Houston, TX, and Kayla (Nickolas) Godley of Kingsland, GA.; his son, Zachary DeCoste of Woodbine, GA.; his sisters, Dorothy DeCoste and Linda Gendron of Nashua, NH., and Lori (Ted) Bartlett of Milford, NH.; her brother, Lawrence (Jie) Howarth of Billarica, MA.; his grandchildren, Peyton Godley and Kennedy Godley; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Besides his father, John was also preceded in death by his sister Anne Marie DeCoste and brother, Robert DeCoste, Jr.
A visitation will begin at 11 am Tuesday, March 26 th , 2024, at Coastal Camden Funeral Home in Kingsland, GA.
