Mr. John A. Leib, age 65, of Jackson, GA, passed away on Friday, March 21, 2014 at his residence.
Mr. Leib was born in Lancaster, PA on March 30, 1948 to the late James Richard Leib and the late Blanche Violet Wagner Leib. He proudly served in the U.S. Air Force and retired at the rank of Technical Sergeant. After retiring from the Air Force, Mr. Leib went on to serve as a police officer in Castle Hill, TX. He loved fishing and camping, especially in the Smoky Mountains.
Survivors include his daughter and son-in-law, Christina and Steve Cheatham of Jackson; son, John R. Leib of Newnan; grandchildren, Stacey (Brad) Meek of Jackson, Jonathan Robertson of Newnan; great-grandchildren, Ashlyn and Chelsea Meek of Jackson.
A memorial service with military honors will be conducted on Thursday, March 27, 2014 at 11am at Heritage Funeral Home. Chaplain Winfred Dixon will officiate.
