Mrs. Karen Lynn Barber, age 69, passed away on Tuesday, October 24
th
, 2023 at her home in Kingsland, Ga.
Mrs. Barber was born on September 8 th , 1954 in Texarkana, Ar. to the late Willis and Eleanor Lawrence.
Karen often found joy in the simple things in life. She would spend her days tending her flowers, watching the birds in her garden, creating art and crafting jewelry for her loved ones. Most of all Karen enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren, who miss her more then she will ever know.
Mrs. Barber is survived by her children, Micheal Grubbs of Yulee, Fl., Carlita (Keith) Ramey of Columbus, Ga., and Bailey (Alissa) Barber of Kingsland, Ga.; her brother, Kevin Lawrence; and her grandchildren, Malik, Hannah, Michael, Jace, Amber, and Amelia.
Besides her parents, Ms. Barber was preceded in death by her husband, Raiford Barber; and her sisters, Melissa Lawrence and Jana Shepard.
A private memorial service will be held by the family at a later date.
