Mrs. Karla Kay Knudson Skibbe, age 63 of Barnesville, GA passed away Saturday, October 27, 2012 at her residence.
Mrs. Skibbe was born in Clinton, Iowa on October 28, 1948 to the late Donald Eugene Knudson and Dorothy Hurlburt Knudson Freund. She was also preceded in death by her step father, Omer S. Freund. Mrs. Skibbe and her husband Tom have resided in Georgia for the past twenty years. Mrs. Skibbe was a Clinical Microbiology specialist with over forty years’ of experience. She was last employed by St. Luke’s Health System in Boise, Idaho.
Survivors include her husband, Tom Skibbe of Barnesville, GA, mother, Dorothy Freund of Oxnard, California, brother, Stephen Freund of Oxnard, California and sister, Bernadette Clausen of McCausland, Iowa.
Graveside funeral services for Mrs. Karla Skibbe will be conducted on Thursday, November 1, 2012 at 1:00 P.M. in Greenwood Cemetery in Barnesville, GA. Kelly Carter will officiate. Friends may visit the family Thursday, November 1, 2012 from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the funeral home.
