Mrs. Kelly Renee Buffington Kline, age 52 of Kingsland, GA, passed away on the morning of Friday, January 28th, 2022 at Southeast Georgia Health System in St. Marys, GA.
Kelly was born September 27th, 1969 in Gainesville, GA to Obourn and Buell Buffington.
Growing up in Gainesville, GA, Kelly “Buffy” as she is called by many was a beautiful, blonde, curly headed, force of nature with great blue eyes that charmed her family and friends alike. Kelly loved fiercely. Many of her childhood friends are still to this day, loyal friends. To her family Kelly was strong willed and determined. Kelly did things her way because that was just how she was! Kelly always told people, “I love you”. An endearing gesture that we will always cherish.
Draven and Kori were always close to Kelly’s heart. Throughout the move from North Georgia to South Georgia, Kurtis and Kelly navigated life and love for nearly 20 years. Kelly enjoyed her family, friends, poetry, and helping other people. Kelly enjoyed listening to music, binge watching TV shows with Kori, relaxing by the bonfire, spending time with family and she enjoyed her dog, Kaster.
Kori says the things she loved best about her mom was how Kelly was always smiling, always trying to lift her spirits. “Mom was so precious and it was the little things that made her happy.” Kori remembers how sentimental her mom was and how things that others missed held meaning to Kelly in special ways. Kelly has passed that gift on to Kori. Many would agree that Kelly’s laugh was one of their favorite things because it was so contagious and so real. Kelly was loved by so many and will be deeply missed in our lives.
Kelly is survived by her husband, Kurtis Kline of Kingsland, GA; her children, Kori Kline of Kingsland, GA and Sgt. Draven Jacobs of Nicholson, GA; her mother, Buell Buffington, of Gainesville, GA; her sisters, Beverly Buffington of Murphy, NC, Kathy Buffington and Anita Buffington, both of Gainesville, GA, and Christy (Jim) Skinner of Griffin, GA; her brother, Reggie Buffington of Lula, GA; her nieces and nephews, Joshua Latimer, Mark & April Skinner, Thomas Skinner, Lindsey Elrod Campbell, Kristopher Mooney, Alexis and Georgia McCarver, Kristina White, Kameron , Kassida, Kaydence, and Kaelob Kline; and her great-nephew, Lincoln Bell.
Kelly is preceded in passing by her father Obourn Lonnie Buffington and her nephew, Harold Jackson “Boo” Latimer III.
A memorial service for Kelly will be held at 11 am Tuesday, February 1st, 2022 in the Woods- Wainwright Chapel of Coastal Camden Funeral Home in Kingsland, Ga.
