Kerney Thomas

Kerney Leon Thomas, 78, passed away peacefully on May 17, 2022, in Folkston, Ga. He was born September 6, 1943, in Arkansas, the son of the late Sam R. and Carrie Bell Thomas.

Kerney was a lifelong concrete mason and a member of the Masonic Lodge. Along with his parents, he was predeceased by his wife of 35 years, Judy Ann Thomas, his brother, Elmer W. Thomas of Woodbine, GA, and his sister, Hazel Troupe.

He is survived by his daughter, Tonya Chancy, and her husband William of Naples, FL., along with two grandchildren, Austin and Emily Chancy as well as his companion, Nora Johnson of Folkston, GA

In lieu of flowers, the family asked that donations can be made to the Dementia Society of America.

A Graveside Service will be held Saturday, July 30th, 2022 at 11 am at Colesburg Cemetery in Woodbine, Ga.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the Coastal Camden Funeral Home in Kingsland, GA, with upcoming details regarding a memorial service to be held at a later date.
