Mr. Larry Curtis Long, Sr., age 63, passed away on the morning of Wednesday, August 19th, 2020 at his home in Kingsland, Ga.
Mr. Long was born on May 23rd, 1957 in Knoxville, Tn. to the late Lawrence and Mary Long.
Mr. Long is survived by his beloved wife, Julie Long of Kingsland, Ga.; his daughters, Laura (Gene) Locke of Kingsland, Ga., Shannon (Travis) Huff of Jacksonville, Fl., Melissa Pommrehn of Deltona, Fl., and Jennifer Long of Knoxville, Tn.; his sons, John Myers, Jr. of Orlando, Fl., Matthew (Courtney) Pommrehn of Ormand Beach, Fl., Andrew Pommrehn of Maryland, and Larry Long, Jr. of Knoxville, Tn.; his sister, Annabell Hensley and brother, Mitch Loy, both of Knoxville, Tn.; his father and mother in law, Thomas and Juanita Benefield, Jr.; his grandchildren, Kailyn Locke, Hunter Locke, Sawyer Huff, Robert Davis, Jr., Annalee Pommerhen, Briana Kember, Hailey Weston, Blake Weston, Nash Long, Austin Brown, Emmalynn Grace Parks; his adopted children, Brittni Harris, Kane Potter, Holly Smith, Byron (Nancy) Pommerhen, CD Carl, and Jimmy Murray; and his dogs, Nahla, Seger, Gunny, DeeDee, Heidi, and Mose.
Besides his parents, Mr. Long was also preceded in passing by his mother in law, Shirley Benefield.
A memorial service for Mr. Long will be held at 2 pm Wednesday, August 26th, 2020 at the East Tennessee State Veteran’s Cemetery in Knoxville, Tn.
