Mrs. Lethia (Leatha) Faye Miller , age 72 of Buck Lane in Woodbine, Ga. passed away in the early morning hours of Monday, September 12, 2016 at Hospice of the Golden Isles in Brunswick, Ga.
Mrs. Miller was born in Woodbine, Ga. on October 22, 1943. She is the daughter of the late Millie Mae Carter and Wiley Thrift.
She was affectionately known as Aunt Lea or Leathy. She had a smile for everyone she met, could strike up a conversation with a stranger in the grocery store and enjoyed taking rides around the neighborhood in her golf cart. She will be truly missed by her family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her brothers, Grean (Buddy) Thrift and Wade Thrift; sisters, Alice Jordan and Agness Sowyers.
Mrs. Miller is survived by her husband of 39 years, Glenn Miller of Woodbine; daughter, Denese (Royce) Proctor of Woodbine; sons, Billie Joe (Stephanie) Hinman and Paul (Jessica) Miller, all of Woodbine; seven grandchildren, John Royce (Jennifer) Proctor of Jacksonville, Fla., Samantha Proctor, Kaylie Hinman, Kelsey Hinman, Zackary Miller, Ziva Miller, and Zuri Miller, all of Woodbine; three brothers, Joe (Annette) Thrift, Mack Thrift and Eddie Thrift, all of Woodbine; four sisters-in-law, Joyce Thrift of Kingsland, Sharon Suarez of St. Marys, Carolyn (Junior) Taylor of Sterling and Betty Miller of St. Marys; six brothers-in-law, Calvin Miller of Nahunta, Ralph Miller of Kingsland, Roy Miller of Brunswick, Clyde (Ann) Miller of Woodbine, Noel Miller of Folkston and Nick Miller of Kingsland; and several nieces, nephews and other relatives
Calling hours for Mrs. Miller’s visitation will be from 6 to 8 pm on Wednesday, September 14, 2016 at Coastal Camden Funeral Home. Funeral services will begin at 11 am on Thursday, September 15, 2016 at the White Oak Pentecostal Church in White Oak, Ga. with Pastor Raymond Drury presiding. A private family ceremony will be held later in the Blue Ridge Mountains.
