Linda Mikoloff

Our dear mother, Linda Mikoloff, age 85, of Folkston, GA, passed away suddenly on Wednesday, November 3, 2021.
She was born in Peoria, IL to Adolf and Mildred Theissen who preceded her in death along with her sister Jean and brother Carl. She is survived by her eldest sister Nina Mae Marquart of Dunlap, IL
Linda was the devoted mother to 3 children and is survived by Kari Gersabeck (Jay) of Waterford, MI, Kim Carter of Folkston, GA and Russell Purdy (Belinda) of Higgins Lake, MI. She has 6 beloved grandchildren, Russell Purdy Jr., Ronda Purdy-Borders, Richard Purdy, Karla Gersabeck (Aron), Chloe Hampshire (Gregg), and Claire Gersabeck, as well as 7 great-grandchildren and many special nieces and nephews.
After she retired from TRW, Inc. of Auburn Hills, MI, in 2000 she met and married the love of her life, Lawrence “Mike” Mikoloff. They bought a sailboat and started an adventure to explore the world however they never sailed past Miami and returned to the Golden Isles of Georgia to live out the rest of their lives. Mike preceded her in death in 2015 and she knew her adventure had come to an end. She enjoyed visiting the Jacksonville National Cemetery where Mike is buried and took solace in knowing she would join him there someday. We are so grateful that they found each other later in life and that our Mom was joyous during the years they had together.
Cremation and burial arrangements are being handled by Coastal Camden Funeral Home of Kingsland, GA. Burial will take place at a later date when family can be present.
