Mrs. Lou Ann Awtry, age 78, of Griffin, GA passed away Sunday, March 4, 2018 at Westbury Health and Rehab in McDonough, GA.
Mrs. Awtry was born in Atlanta, GA on June 3, 1939. She was a lifelong member Griffin Center Point Church and an avid Atlanta Braves fan.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Kelley M. Awtry; parents, Helen Dye Goen and Roy T. Goen; and grandson, Jason Awtry.
Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law; Linda and Mike Worley of Griffin, GA; son, Dwayne Awtry of Dexter, GA; 8 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great- grandchildren; sisters, Shirley Griffin and Doris Corley; and brother and sister-in-law, Gayron and Dianne Goen.
Funeral services for Mrs. Lou Ann Awtry will be held on Wednesday, March 7, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at Griffin Center Point Church. Interment will follow in Griffin Memorial Gardens. Friends may visit the family on Tuesday evening from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
