Mr. Lynwood W. Brooks, age 87, of Griffin, GA, passed away on Tuesday, April 24,
2018, at Spalding Regional Hospital.
Mr. Brooks was born on March 20, 1931, in Griffin, GA, to the late Aubrey Brooks and the late Jennie Quick Brooks. He was one of nine siblings. Mr. Brooks was a veteran of the US Army and served during the Korean Conflict. He was hard worker and had a passion for being outdoors working the land, riding his tractor and cattle farming. He was a member of Woolsey Baptist Church, and had a genuine love for all people. He especially enjoyed visiting and spending time with friends and family.
Mr. Brooks is survived by his wife of 67 years, Carol Brooks; daughter and son-in-law, Cathy and Steve Kirkland; son, Brian Brooks; grandchildren, Jason Bush, Kimberly Sowell, Justin Brooks, Kristin Graham and Lauren Brooks; great-grandchildren, Courtney Couch, Aubrey Leach and Carson Graham; sister Doris Ponder; brother and sister-in-law, Melvin and Libby Brooks; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Mr. Brooks was born on March 20, 1931, in Griffin, GA, to the late Aubrey Brooks and the late Jennie Quick Brooks. He was one of nine siblings.
