Mrs. Mandy Sue Shaw, age 91 of Griffin, passed away Tuesday, October 2, 2012 at her residence surrounded by her family.
Mrs. Shaw was born on May 17, 1921 in Loganville, GA to the late James Edward Nelson and the late Viola Ramey Nelson. She was also preceded in death by her son, Charles Rousey Jr. and daughter, Cheryl Beck.
Survivors include her daughters, Linda Henderson of Lawrenceville, GA, Frances Digsby of Griffin, GA, Wanda Powell of McDonough, GA, and Janice Yarber of Griffin, GA; sons, Gerald Tweedell of Houston, TX, and Bud Bowles of Fayetteville, GA; 24 grandchildren, 44 great-grandchildren, and 31 great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services for Mrs. Mandy Sue Shaw will be held on Thursday, October 4, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Heritage Funeral Home. Reverend John Nance will officiate. Interment will follow in Sherwood Memorial Park in Jonesboro, GA. Friends may visit the family on Wednesday, October 3, 2012 from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
