Mrs. Martha I. Lester Rooks, age 81 of Griffin, GA passed away Monday, February 18, 2013 at her residence.
She was born August 20, 1931 in Griffin to the late Arthur Lester and the late Maude Lee Lester. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Bill Rooks; son, Danny Rooks; sister, Joyce Landers; brothers, Elmer Ingram, Arthur, Johnny, Bobby, and Eugene Lester and grandson, Jimmy Rooks.
Survivors include companion, Ed F. Brooks; sons and daughter-in-law, Phillip and Jennie Rooks, Michael Rooks; sister and brother-in-law, Helen and Jeff Hickman; grandchildren, Rhonda Rooks Sullivan, Jennifer and Marc Jones, Jamie and Jeff McLean, Cindy and Keith Cofield, Katie Rooks, and Mikey Pitts; 12 great grandchildren; and daughter-in-law, Wylene Rooks Pitts.
