Mother Martha Chambliss Williams was born in Monroe County on December 3, 1930 to the late Mary Etta Walker. She Joined Towaliga County Line Baptist Church and served faithfully until her Heavenly Father called her home. She was known as “Big Momma” to all of her loved ones.
Martha dedicated many years in the workforce working for Korect Cleaners in Griffin, GA. She enjoyed spending Sunday evenings with her children and grandchildren. She also served faithfully on the mother board.
Martha raised four beautiful girls and three handsome sons. Martha’s lovely family includes her husband that preceded her in death, Mr. Willie James Williams and two sons, Albert Chambliss Jr. and Ricky Chambliss. The family left her to cher-ish her memories are her daughters, Shirley (Eddie) Williams, Jeanette Taylor, Malisia (Anthony) Puckett, Setina (Charles) Swanson; one son, Sammy (Renae) Williams; three sisters and a special niece, Lillie Walker, Mary Davis, Elnora Lyons, and Linda Zellner all of Forsyth, GA; one sister-in-law, Eunice Jones of Griffin, GA; 16 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren, and 5 great-great grandchildren.
