Mary Mcneil

December 6, 1960 — April 27, 2025

Mrs. Mary Rebecca “Becky” McNeil, age 64 of St. Marys, Ga. passed away on Sunday, April 27th, 2025 at UF Health in Jacksonville, Fl.

Mrs. McNeil was born on December 6th, 1960 in Brunswick, Ga. to the late John Sweat and Mary Campbell.

Becky leaves behind such blessed memories for everyone that knew her. She had so much love to give to everyone. She had a love for traveling whether it be a simple car ride, on a plane, or a cruise ship, Becky was always ready for her next adventure. Becky also had a huge love for music. Not only would we often find her listening to Dolly, or the gospel, but she could be heard singing as well. Becky had such a soft soothing voice that sang many babies to sleep. Oftentimes while cooking, which is one of the many things we are going to miss about her, she would sing about Jesus and praise the Lord, never missing an opportunity to thank him for her blessings. While we grieve and mourn our loss we take great comfort in knowing that Becky has now taken her greatest adventure of all. Our family will never forget the love and care she showed each and every one of us.

Mrs. McNeil is survived by her husband, Darrell Hinton of St. Marys, Ga.; her children Wade (Jennifer) Sweat of St. Mary’s, Wendy (Chris) Willner of Kingsland, Thad Bryant of Kingsland, Chad (Allye) McNeil of St. Mary’s, Ashley (Will) Kramp of Texas and stepson, Robbie Hinton of St. Mary’s. Her Grandchildren Heather (Jamie) Stanley, Nick (Lannie) Sweat, Haley Sweat, Christian Willner, Natalie Willner, Cayden Willner, Lyla McNeil, Tanner McNeil, JoJo McNeil, Grant Cothern and Heidi Kramp. Her Great Granddaughters Emma and Macy Stanley. Her sisters, Darlene (Jason) Denison of St. Mary’s, Ranee (Willie) Lynn of Blackshear and Morgan (Keith) Cason of Blackshear. Becky also leaves behind her bonus Mom Betty Caldwell of Blackshear, her great nephew Cason Sweat who held a special place in her heart, many nieces and nephews, as well as numerous great nieces and nephews that all brought joy to her life and a smile to her face.

Mrs. McNeil was preceded in death by her husband William “Bill” McNeil, her sister Marlene Sweat and her brother, John Robin Sweat.

A memorial service will be held at 10 am Saturday, May 3rd, 2025 at The Harbor Worship Center in Kingsland.
