Mattie Aldridge

Ms. Mattie Martha Aldridge , age 81, of Kingsland, Ga. passed away on the evening of Tuesday, September 19 th , 2017 at Southeast Georgia Health System in St. Marys, Ga.
Ms. Aldridge was born March 16 th , 1936 in Hoboken, Ga. to the late Floyd Albert and Bertha Mae Melton. She married her beloved husband Buddy on August 14 th , 1954. They later moved to Kingsland, where she was a resident for over 60 years. Ms. Aldridge was a housewife and enjoyed providing for her family. She loved her flowers and working in the garden. She also enjoyed fishing. She was an active member of the Church of God for many years. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
Ms. Aldridge is survived by her sons, Randy W. (Darlene) Aldridge of Kingsland, Ga. and Thomas R.(Mary) Aldridge of Kingsland, Ga.; her sisters, Nancy Lane of Waycross, Ga. and Anna Lee of Yulee, Fl.; her grandchildren, Charity Spurlock, Buck Aldridge, Randy JI Aldridge, and Scotty Braddock; and her 8 great-grandchildren.
Besides her parents, Ms. Aldridge was preceded in passing by her husband, William “Buddy” Robert Aldridge and her daughter, Linda Diane Rowe.
Calling hours for the Aldridge family will be from 6 to 8 pm Saturday, September 23 rd , 2017 at the funeral home. Graveside services will be at 11 am Sunday, September 24 th , 2017 at Lawnwood Cemetery in Kingsland, Ga.
