Melba Freeman

Mrs. Melba C. Mullis Freeman, age 75, of Griffin, GA, passed away on Sunday, June 21, 2015 at Westbury Medical Care Home in Jackson.

Mrs. Melba Freeman was born on March 20, 1940 in Eastman, GA to the late General R. Mullis and the late Mary Lou Lord Mullis. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Benjamin C. Freeman, son, Tim Freeman and sister, Patricia Freeman. Mrs. Freeman was a secretary for many years for the Math and Science Department at Gordon Junior College. She was a member of Rehoboth Baptist Church.

Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Julie Freeman of Williamson; grandsons, Brent and B J Freeman; great grandchildren, Kathleen, Trenton, and Madison Freeman; grand daughter-in-law, Holland Freeman; several nieces and nephews.

A funeral Service for Mrs. Melba Freeman will be held on Wednesday, June 24, 2015 at 11:00 am in the chapel of Heritage Funeral Home. Reverend Charles Killingsworth will officiate. Interment will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery. Friends may visit the family on Tuesday, June 23, 2015, from 6:00 pm to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
