Mrs. Melba Anne Hensel, age 67, of Greenwood, FL passed away Monday, November 5, 2018 at Eternal Hope Hospice.
Mrs. Hensel was born on December 7, 1950 in Bluefield, WV. She worked for the Clayton County Sheriff’s Department as a sheriff’s deputy for 20 years before retiring. She is preceded in death by her parents, Jesse Thompson and Catcille Thompson; and sister, Linda Nelms.
Survivors include her husband, C. P. “Barnie” Hensel; daughters and their spouses, Ray and Jill Roberts; and Miranda and David Allen; 2 precious grandchildren, Breckin Allen and Maddock Allen; and brother and sister-in-law, Butch and Jane Thompson.
A celebration of life service for Mrs. Melba Anne Hensel will be held on Saturday, November 10, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel of Heritage Funeral Home. Dennis Elliot will officiate. Friends may visit with the family one hour prior to the service on Saturday at the funeral home.
