Mr. Michael Peter Faccento, age 90, passed away on the morning of Wednesday, October 20th, 2021 at his home in St. Marys, Ga.
Mr. Faccento was born on September 15th, 1931 in Shelton, Connecticut to the late Rocco and Nellie Faccento.
In 1950 Michael joined the Coast Guard serving as a sailmaker aboard the USCGC Eagle. After leaving the Coast Guard, Michael began working for Sikorsky Aircraft as an upholster. While working at Sikorsky he also, had a side business completing car and boat interiors. In 1970 Michael was married to Brenda, having two daughters. In the early 80’s Michael transferred to the West Palm Beach Sikorsky plant, with the family settling in the Port Saint Lucie area. After retirement from Sikorsky Aircraft, Michael then made his way to Warner Robins Georgia in the mid-2000s, eventually moving to Camden County. He will be remembered as a hard-working man, always determined to provide for his family. Even though he had a serious side he loved to tease his kids and grandkids, he was always smiling and showing off his baby blues.
Mr. Faccento is survived by his wife, Brenda Faccento of St. Marys, Ga.; his children, Tina (Aaron) Bense of St. Marys, Ga. and Ruth Velez of Connecticut; his daughter in law, Debbie Faccento of Ft. Valley, Ga.; and his nine grandchildren.
Besides his parents, Mr. Faccento also joins his daughter, Nicola “Nicky” Faccento and son, Michael Faccento in Heaven.
A visitation will be held from 12 pm to 2 pm Saturday, October 23rd, 2021 at Coastal Camden Funeral Home in Kingsland, Ga. Funeral services will follow immediately at 2 pm in the Woods-Wainwright Chapel of the funeral home with Pastor Roy White presiding. Interment will be held privately at Lawnwood Cemetery in Kingsland, Ga.
