Mr. Michael Alan Vaughan, age 45, of Morrow, GA passed away on Saturday, March 18, 2017 at Piedmont Henry Hospital.
Michael was born on May 12, 1971 in East Point, GA. Despite being born with Cerebral Palsy he was full of life and always happy. He loved to fish, and enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Maude and Vander Howell and Louise and M.J. Vaughan.
Survivors include his parents, Johnny and Betty Vaughan of Riverdale, GA; sisters and brothers-in-law, Penny and Scott Garten of Canton, GA and Kim and Greg Brown of Milner, GA; nieces, Lauren Garten and Mady Brown; nephew, Nick Garten; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
Funeral services for Mr. Michael Alan Vaughan will be held on Tuesday, March 21, 2017 at 4 p.m. in the chapel of Heritage Funeral Home. Pastor Chris Harris will officiate. A private interment will take place at a later date in the GA National Cemetery in Canton, GA. Friends may visit the family from 2 p.m. until the service hour on Tuesday.
The family would like to give special thanks to caregivers and staff of the Crenshaw House and the C.C.S. to Michael during his time with them.
In lieu of flowers the family requests donation be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital 501 St Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105 in memory of Michael.
