Mrs. Mildred Handley, age 80 of Easley, SC passed away Saturday, December 29, 2012.
Mrs. Handley was born in Atlanta, GA to the late Paul Gaston and the late Polly Whitehead. She graduated from Agnes Scott College with a BS degree in Sociology. Mrs. Handley was a wonderful and beloved wife, mother, and grandmother. She took every opportunity she had to spend time with her family and will be truly missed by them all. She was also preceded in death by sons, Richard David Handley and Col. James Edward Handley.
Survivors include her husband, Ed Handley of Easley, SC; daughter and son-in-law, Catherine and Stephen Swafford of Easley, SC; brother and sister-in-law, Richard and Jane Gaston of Griffin, GA; grandchildren, Leah Rivas of Austell, GA, Elizabeth Handley of Wellington, MO, Kate Codgill of Newport, TN, Matthew Swafford of Columbia, SC, Michael Swafford of Easley, SC; 3 great-grandchildren; and sister-in-law, June Handley of Griffin, GA.
