Mr. Milton L. Ballew, age 81, of Griffin, GA, passed away on Sunday July 13, 2014 at Westbury Health & Rehabilitation in McDonough, GA.
Mr. Ballew was born in Griffin, GA on May 28, 1933 to the late Oscar Niles Ballew and the late Margaret Louise Henderson Ballew. Mr. Ballew was also preceded in death on June 21 by his wife of 61 years, Rosa Jean English Ballew. He attended Rock Springs Church.
Survivors include daughter and son-in-law, Judy and Greg Damon of Griffin; son and daughter-in-law, Mike and Kathy Ballew of Hampton; granddaughter and husband, Brandy and Adam Poplin of Athens; grandson and wife, Gian and Rebecca Chiriboga of Las Vegas; sister, Rachel Turner of Griffin; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Harry and Marilyn English of Milner; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Dorothy Wynn of Jackson, Louise and Henry Queen of Griffin, Kaye and Benny McMichael of Orchard Hill; several nieces and nephews.
Memorial services for Mr. Milton Ballew will be conducted on Saturday July 19, 2014 at 3 pm in the chapel of Heritage Funeral Home.Pastor Ricky Shepherd will officiate. Friends may visit the family following the service. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the American Kidney Fund, 72 Edgewood Ave. NE, Atlanta, GA 30303 in memory of Mr. Ballew. The family would like to thank the nurses at Serenity Hospice, Westbury Health and Rehabilitation, and Spalding Dialysis for their kindness and wonderful care.
