Mrs. Minnie McCullough, age 91, of Elberton, GA passed away on Saturday, July 9, 2016 in Griffin, GA.
Mrs. McCullough was born on August 8, 1924 in Middleton, GA to the late George Hammond and the late Annie Mae Shumate Hammond Barger. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Fonden “Red” McCullough and sister Hazel Poulnott. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Elberton and worked for many years at the Jewel Box in Elberton.
Mrs. McCullough is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Pat and Charles Heape of Griffin; grandchildren Allen and Angie Heape of Meansville, GA and Alison and Kevin Napier of Griffin, GA; and seven great grandchildren.
A graveside funeral service for Mrs. Minnie McCullough will be held Saturday, July 16, 2016 at 11:00 am at Elmhurst Cemetery in Elberton. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in memory of Mrs. McCullough to the Alzheimers Association, P.O. Box 96011, Washington, DC 20090-6011 or the First United Methodist Church of Elberton, 132 East Church Street, Elberton, GA 30635.
