Nelda Carroll

Mrs. Nelda Moore Carroll, age 79, of Griffin, GA, passed away on June 5, 2014 at her residence.

Mrs. Carroll was born on February 1, 1935 in Griffin, GA to the late John W. Moore Sr. and the late Myrtice Varnom Moore. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Jim Carroll. Mrs. Carroll was a civil service worker at Robins Air Force Base until her retirement. She was a member of Southside Baptist Church in Warner Robins.

Survivors include son and daughter-in-law, Terry and Gail Smith of Griffin; daughter, Judy Corley of Griffin; brother, John Moore, Jr. of Waldorf, Maryland; sister, Barbara Willeby of Warner Robins; grandchildren, Corey Smith and TJ Yancey; great grandchildren, Reya and Emery Smith and Jackson Yancey; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services for Mrs. Nelda Carroll will be held on Saturday, May 7, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. at Southside Baptist Church in Warner Robins. Pastor Dennis Clark will officiate. Interment will follow in Magnolia Park Cemetery in Warner Robins. Mrs. Carroll will lie in state at the church from noon until the service hour. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Southside Baptist Church in Warner Robins in memory of Mrs. Carroll. Friends may visit the family on Friday from 6pm until 8pm at the funeral home.
