Mr. Noel A. “Rusty” Peters age 65 of Clayton, North Carolina entered into rest December 14, 2013.
Mr. Peters was born in Forsyth, GA on September 28, 1948 to the late Douglas N. “Buck” Peters and the late Joyce Sanders Peters. He was also preceded in death by his son, Adam Noel Peters. Mr. Peters was a Veteran of the United Sates Army having served in Vietnam. He was an avid horseman and especially enjoyed trail rides.
Survivors include his wife, Lynne Burckner Peters of Clayton, NC; daughters and sons-in-law, Christine and Jonathan Herauf of Lexington, SC, Jennifer and Richard Culler of Augusta, GA, son and daughter-in-law, Chance and Amber Peters of Clayton, NC; grandchildren, Heather Funston, Hunter Thurmond and Rylan Peters; sisters and brothers-in-law; Saralyn and Jimmy Fountain of Milner, Jayne and Donn Smith of Barnesville, and Carla and Tony Duncan of Monroe, GA.
Funeral services for Mr. Noel “Rusty” Peters will conducted on Wednesday December 18, 2013 at 2pm in the chapel of Heritage Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Union Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery on Johnstonville Road in Goggans, GA. Friends may visit with the family Tuesday evening from 6pm until 8 pm at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to TheWoundedWarriorsProject.org in memory of Mr. Peters.
