Miss Noelle Florentina Cravens
September 28, 2011 – January 28, 2016
Miss Noelle Florentina Cravens, age 4, of Griffin, passed away Thursday, January 28, 2016 at Egleston in Atlanta.
Noelle was born in Griffin, GA, on September 28, 2011, to Holly Cravens and Salome Silva. She was preceded in death by her grandparents Florentina Silva, Jose Salome Silva and Barry Cravens.
Her life was a brief, beautiful gift to the world. She was an exceptional child, and impacted many people in her short time with us. She was one of those people who made you happy just by being next to you. She was not shy at all, and she had a way of putting everyone at ease. Even though she was only a small child, she worked so hard when she had a goal in mind, and was always eager to help- no matter what the task.
Noelle was everything to her mother and family. Our lives will never be the same without her. Noelle was an amazing child. Every parent thinks their kids are special, of course, but Noelle was an especially wonderful girl. She had a way of making you fall in love with her from the first time you met her. She was such a charismatic and charming little lady. She was a special friend to so many people. It didn’t matter if you were a complete stranger, she would open up and start telling you her life story (and all our personal business to boot), and that is what made everyone fall in love with her.
She was very sweet and always worried if everything was fair; she made sure to share her toys, candy, or whatever she had with everyone. Her voice was beautiful. She had a small speech impediment so she pronounced certain words funny and we loved that about her. She made everyone smile with her sweet nature and desire to please people.
Noelle lived for the outdoors. She had been gardening since she was a year old. Whenever we went to the garden (or outside) she loved to dig in the dirt. That was her favorite past time. She enjoyed volunteering at the Healthy Life Community Garden and was an active and enthusiastic member. She loved helping the gardeners and would taste and eat everything. She wanted to be part of all the activities; she especially loved playing in the water and around the garden. She was a natural outdoor girl.
She leaves to cherish her memory her mother Holly Cravens; father Salome Silva; sisters, Irene Cravens and Marli Silva; brothers, Joshua Cravens and Isaac Agoston; grandmother, Marie Cravens; and God Mother Toya Goodman.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, March 19, 2016 at 12:00 Noon at the Healthy Life Community Garden, 415 Jefferson Drive, Griffin. In memory of Noelle, donations can be made to the Healthy Life Community Garden, 835 Memorial Drive, Griffin, GA 30223.
