Mrs. Ola Kelley Riggins passed away quietly in her sleep on Thursday, January 3, 2013.
Mrs. Riggins was born in Fayette County, GAon March 27, 1922 where she lived until the family moved to Griffin in 1937 after the death of her mother. She was the daughter of the late Isom Kelley and the late Lena Jackson Kelley. She was also preceded in death by her brothers: Otis, Bill, Eugene and Davis, sisters, Pauline, Annie Mae, Clyde and twin sisterNora, and grandchild Tim Riggins. Mrs. Riggins was a devoted wife and loving mother who always placed her family above herself. She was always quick to smile and was very appreciative of everyone she knew. She was an avid gardener and always had a garden full of flowers. She will be missed very much by the family she so dearly loved.
Survivors include her husband of 71 yearsJohn G. Riggins of Griffin, sons: Kenneth and wife Liyang Riggins of Alabama, Glennand wife Kathy Riggins of Smyrna, GA,Darryl and wife Caroline Riggins of Tucker, GA., Phillipand wife Sandy Riggins of Pittsburg, PA, daughter, Joy and husband Randy Webster of Macon, GA,sisters-in-law, Margaret and Mildred Kelley of Griffin; seven grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
