Patricia “Patty” May Blair passed away quietly in her home in Kingsland, GA on May 11th, 2016 surrounded by her family.
On December 16th, 1938, Lewis Chapman & Helen Lucille Cole Gates gave birth to this ornery little redhead. She will never be forgotten by the love of her life, Edwin Blair. She lived her faith by following in Christ’s footsteps, giving of herself to family, friends and anyone she met who was in need. She passed this legacy on to her children. Patty touched the lives of so many, nieces, nephews and cousins that the family looks forward to hearing from and acknowledging on this post.
Patty is predeceased by her mother, Helen, her two sisters, Peggy and Sue, and her daughter, Stephanie.
Patty is survived by her children, Carrie & Dave DeSalvo of East Hampton- Long Island, NY, Tracy & Mike Strange of Ft. Worth, TX, Jackie & Jeff Bell & their son, Jason of Denver, CO, Joey & Karon Schnitzer of Chula Vista, CA, and Richie Alaimo & his four legged son, Seven of Perry, FL; her brothers, Bobby & MaryLou Gates, Charlie Gates, Johnny Bradfield; her sister, MaryAnn (Sam I am) Kramer; her grandchildren, David & Elizabeth DeSalvo, Krystal & Adam Wargi, Gianna LaPaglia & her BFF Josh, Jenny & Josh Meadows, Rachel Luca, Jenny & Rachel’s dad, Mike Luca, and Jordan & Angelica Schnitzer.
A celebration of Patty’s life has been scheduled to be held at Fairfax Memorial Park, 9900 Braddock Road, Fairfax, VA 22032 on August 6th at 10 a.m.
The family is so grateful to Hospice of the Golden Isles for their outstanding level of care and concern for Patty’s comfort during her final days.
