Patricia Norton

Mrs. Patricia Gillespie Norton, age 74, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, December 18th, 2024 in Brunswick, Ga.

Mrs. Norton, the daughter of Rev. Hilton and the late Christine Gillespie, was born on October 26th, 1950 in Nashville, Tn

Mrs. Norton is survived by her husband, Joseph Norton of Woodbine, Ga.; her daughter, Amanda Kehoe of Jacksonville, Fl.; her siblings, Alta (Bill) Ploeger of Columbus, Ga., John (Celeste) Gillespie of Oklahoma, Wendy (Billy) Mathis of Leesburg, Ga., Jackie (Randal) Brassell of Nashville, Tn., Brenda (Roy) Coleman of Panama City, Fl., and Dorothy “Dot” Ryan of Tennessee; her five grandchildren, Carissa Cofer, Sarah Waller, Morgan Bradanick, Hannah Isreal and Olivia Kehoe; her nine great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Patsy loved being a grandmother, and often had her grandchildren with her. She enjoyed weekend yard sales, gardening (she was a member of the garden club for some time), enjoyed community involvement, crafts, and of course her passion-involvement with her local church. She loved assisting in hosting different events, singing in the choir, and attending all services.

To know her was to know a kind soul, one who would make friends wherever she went, would say hello to any stranger and never feared starting a conversation.

Funeral Services will be held at noon Monday, December 23rd, 2024 in the Old Chapel of the Kingsland First Baptist Church. Interment will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery in St. Marys, Ga.
